Welcome to the Brain and Artificial Intelligence (BrAIn) lab! We are located at Seoul National University of Science and Technology, in Seoul, South Korea. The goal of our research is to understand the brain mechanisms and develop brain-inspired artificial intelligence techniques using the brain mechanisms.

(New Project) BrAIn Lab was awarded a research grant (중견연구자사업) supported by NRF, titled "Development of AI-based early detection of postoperative delirium using multi-channel EEG", and will receive research funding of 160M KRW per year for 3 years from Mar. 2023. Thanks NRF!

(New Project) BrAIn Lab joined the Basic Research Laboratory supported by NRF, titled "VR, EP, EEG, MRI Data Aggregation for Digital Demential Biomarker", and will work on EEG analysis to recognize dementia early in collaboration with College of Medicine Hanyang University for two years from Mar. 2022.

We are always seeking for self-motivated students who are interested in our research. Please contact Dr. Kim (sekim (at) seoultech.ac.kr) if you are interested in joining the lab as a graduate student or undergraduate research assistant. Getting lab experience is highly recommended if you are considering graduate school. 

The BrAIn lab is supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea, SeoulTech, and ETRI. There are various scholarship opportunities.
